Revelation 3:1-6 | The Dead Church | Sunday Morning Worship Service
Sardis | Revelation 3:1–6
Dead reputation.
Empty ritual.
No commendation.
Just correction.
Jesus looks at the church in Sardis and says,
“You have a name for being alive—but you are dead.”
A movement that began with fire is now a shell of what it once was.
The Reformation called people back to the Bible…
But tradition crept in again.
Jesus is not impressed with what used to be.
He wants to know: where is the fire now?
.
🔥 Passion dies when we stop feeding it.
💡 Truth fades when we stop guarding it.
🕊️ Faith dies when we stop walking in the Spirit.
This is not about church history.
This is about your story.
Do you look alive… but deep down, you know the flame is flickering?
Jesus sees.
He warns.
He pleads.
“Wake up. Strengthen what remains… before it is too late.”
...
This Sunday we dig into the brutal beauty of Revelation 3:1–6.
The message to Sardis is not about judgment—it is about mercy.
He still walks among the churches.
He still speaks.
He still revives.
...
📖 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
